Delta Kappa Epsilon is making its return after 6 years of being disbanded for hazing and alcohol violations. The Delta Kappa Epsilon house has been serving as a temporary home for sororities whose houses are being rebuilt or renovated.

Delta Kappa Epsilon, also known as DKE, was permanently shut down is January 2019 after evidence of hazing and substance abuse was discovered. They hosted a gathering on the Murphys’ balcony on September 22nd, marking a reintroduction to their potential new members.

One L-S-U student thinks we should “give them a chance before we tear it down” referencing the idea of DKE’s return. “It’s ok for them to come back and [she] thinks they deserve a second chance.” another LSU student said.

Many students are conflicted on whether or not DKE deserves a second chance on campus. Some argue that it gives the chapter more opportunity to do the same rituals again. However, some people think DKE deserves a second shot with new members.
