LSU drops out of AP Top 25 after blowout loss to Texas A&M

LSU football is entirely absent from the AP Top 25 rankings Sunday for the first time this season. The team was previously ranked No. 20.

The drop comes after the Tigers lost to Texas A&M 49-25 in Tiger Stadium, a humbling result that has members of the fanbase calling for change.

LSU was the seventh team off the list, receiving 11 votes.

The Tigers have lost to three top-10 teams in a row: No. 3 Texas A&M, No. 7 Ole Miss and No. 9 Vanderbilt.

It could potentially be four in a row with LSU facing No. 4 Alabama on Nov. 8 after the Tigers’ bye week.

The SEC was also represented in the rankings by No. 14 Tennessee, No. 18 Oklahoma, No. 19 Missouri and No. 20 Texas.
