A new semester is officially underway at LSU and it is something students should look forward to.
While it may be cloud nine for some people, I went out in the quad to ask students a simple question that may have many answers.
What is the biggest concern you have for the 2026 spring semester?
There were a different variety of answers ranging from advisers to parking to paw points and even class scheduling.
Here is what some students had to say about some of the concerns they had.
“Not being able to access an advisor. Last month or so, I’ve been trying to get in contact with mine to get some classes changed and move things around. Haven’t been able to contact anyone.” LSU student Taliyah said .
“Honestly, it’s parking still. Last semester , I thought since all my classes were in the afternoon and I couldn’t find parking, I was like you ” I’m going to switch my classes to the morning”. Come to find out, it’s worse in the morning. I have to leave my house at least an hour and thirty minutes before just to find parking since they closed off the PFT area,” LSU student Jylan said.
As the spring 2026 semester kicks into full effect, students hope that these concerns are addressed so they can focus less on these obstacles and more on their goals in the classroom.
