The LSU campus will re-open on Tuesday, the university announced, after it was shut down Monday due to winter weather.
While north Louisiana saw freezing rain and snow, Baton Rouge and the rest of south Louisiana mainly dealt with below freezing temperatures and extreme wind chill.
LSU said students for whom weather conditions will still make it unsafe to travel to campus or attend classes should speak with their instructors.
Some LSU classes met virtually on Monday, as the university left it each instructor’s discretion. LSU’s dining halls also stayed open on Monday.
