Mid Sunday afternoon, the Lady Tigers hosted the Missouri Tigers in the PMAC. Although Missouri tried to hold a strong defense throughout the game, it just was not enough to stop LSU’s offense.
Missouri started off on the right note when Grace Slaughter almost immediately hit a three-pointer. But LSU was stronger both offensively and defensively. Making sure to maintain their drive throughout the match.
As Missouri made strides to try to stay in good competition, they were quickly met with crushed hope as LSU was making many of their shots and stealing the ball consistently.
Guards MiLaysia Fulwiley and ZaKiyah Richard both had impressive games. Fulwiley scored her first double-double, and ZaKiyah had a total of 17 points and 14 rebounds.
Flau’jae Johnson also went on to have an impressive game where she scored 16 points, three rebounds, and four assists.
The Guards really showed out offensively against Missouri, proving that they are hungry for more SEC wins ahead of their SEC tournament in March.
Make sure to stay updated for the Lady Tigers’ next game against Tennessee back in the PMAC next Thursday night at 5:00 PM CT.
