The NBA Season has come to an end, but there is still a lot of basketball to be played. Teams are preparing for the playoffs, and regular season awards are just around the corner.

The first award is the biggest personal award in all of basketball, The MVP. This award is given to the best player in the league every year, and the two frontrunners are Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Victor Wembanyama.

Shai is the reigning MVP and Finals MVP as he led OKC to a championship last season. He has led OKC yet again this season to the best record in the NBA as they look to repeat what thet did last year.

It feels like Victor Wembanyama just got to the NBA, but he is in his 3rd season, and he definitely doesn’t play like it. Wembanyama has led the Spurs to the second best record in the NBA only behind the Thunder, and when they faced off against each other the Spurs outlasted the Thunder 4 out of 5 games they played.

With all of that in mind Wembanyama is my pick for MVP and Defensive Player Of The Year as he averages a league best 3.1 blocks per game.

Next is the Rookie Of The Year which comes down to two players who are very familiar with each other. I’m talking about college teammates Kon Kneuppel and Cooper Flagg.

Kneuppel has led the league in made three-pointers this season, and he has led the Hornets to a play-in spot in the East. On the other hand, Flagg is top five in every major statistical category among rookies, and he has proven that he will be a star in this league for a long time. Flagg is my Rookie Of The Year

Finally, what the season comes down to every year is the NBA Finals where one team is crowned champion.

It is rare for teams to win the Finals if they haven’t won 40 games in the regular season before they lose 20. Only three teams have done that this season which are the Oklahoma City Thunder, the San Antonio Spurs, and the Detroit Pistons.

I’m going with the Spurs to win it all. This season will mark the beginning of a new dynasty in San Antonio, and Wembanyama will begin his legacy.
