For the LSU Women’s Tennis team, the 2025-2026 season has been record-breaking.
Chasing a trophy, the Tigers advanced to the SEC Tournament final for the first time in program history. Unfortunately, the Tigers fell short, losing to Auburn and only scoring three points in the match.
Despite this loss, the team used it as motivation to keep moving forward, making every practice and match count.
Junior tennis player Kinaa Graham explained her feelings on the loss, stating, “I feel like the loss gives us somewhere to go from, like if you just win everything all the time you don’t have really anything to build on.”
Graham later explained that the connection between the team was built on a saying that Head Coach Taylor Fogleman taughthis team. “No one wins alone,” was just the beginning of the foundation the season was built on.
Coach Fogleman later spoke to the confidence in his team, stating, “if we’re bringing it in the capacity that they can, then we can play with any team in the country.”
The Tigers currently hold a record of 19-9 as they advance to the NCAA Regionals, which will be hosted in the Baton Rouge Complex.
The first match will be held on May 2, where LSU will host Rice, TCU, and Stephen F. Austin, who the Tigers will battle first. The first serve is set for 2:00 p.m on Saturday.
