The LSU Police Department in conjunction with the Baton Rouge Police Department and Iberville Parish Sheriff’s Department arrested three suspects wanted for the spree of armed robberies that occurred on campus on Nov. 18.
The first suspect arrested, Letravis Kittrell Duncan, 20, of 6373 Brierwood Drive, was located when LSUPD and BRPD investigators traced the suspect vehicle, a 2012 Chrysler 200, to his residence.
Upon questioning Kittrell, investigators arrested and charged him with three counts of armed robbery. He was booked into East Baton Rouge Parish Prison.
Investigators suspect Kittrell was the driver of the vehicle, LSUPD spokesman Capt. Cory Lalonde said. During their investigation of Kittrell, they were able to identify and obtain warrants for two other suspects, a 17 year-old minor and Jarvis Diquann Dawson, 19, of 76790 Rosedale Road in Rosedale, La.
LSUPD and BRPD investigators with the help of the Iberville Parish Sherriff’s Office located the minor at his residence and arrested him for three counts of armed robbery and he was booked into East Baton Rouge Parish Prison. They believe he was the suspect who approached the victims with the gun and asked for the phones and wallets.
Dawson turned himself in to the Iberville Parish Sheriff’s Department late Thursday. He was also charged with three counts of armed robbery.
Lalonde said investigators were able to recover the gun they believe was used in the robberies as well as some of the stolen property.
