63rd Annual Cortana Kiwanis Christmas Parade:

Where: Downtown Baton Rouge
What: The parade includes around 80 entries including marching bands, celebrities, dance troupes, nonprofit organizations and local businesses in seasonal themes.

ZooLights:
When: Nov. 29 – Dec. 30, 5:30 – 8 p.m., Closed Dec. 24 and 25
Where: BREC’s Baton Rouge Zoo, 3601 Thomas Road
What: A mile-long trail through the zoo with more than 50 illuminated sculptures of animals and traditional holiday displays with special activities planned throughout the season.

Holiday Skating on the River:

Where: Baton Rouge River Center Arena

Baton Rouge Concert Band Christmas Concert:
When: Dec. 15, 3 p.m.
Where: St. Joseph Cathedral Downtown Baton Rouge, 412 North St.
What: The concert includes songs such as selections from the Nutcracker Suite, music from the movie “Home Alone” and, of course, Sleigh Ride.

A Christmas Carol:
