This recipe is nothing more than a simple, healthy and delectable alternative to any overly fatty meal. It can be dressed up or down, and would be perfect for a rainy day, stuck inside or a romantic dinner for two. The best part is…it’s cheap. The dish consists of basically two main ingredients, both of which can be acquired for a low price. I hope you enjoy my original Garlic Shrimp Pasta.
Recipe:
Ingredients: Small box of spaghetti noodles; 1 pound fresh shrimp; 6 cloves of garlic; olive oil; salt and fresh ground pepper; fresh or dried parsley; ginger powder; 4 tablespoons butter
Preparation: Boil the pasta in a large pot. In a large sauce pan, pour enough olive oil to basically cover the pan (this is about 3-4 tablespoons). Slice the cloves of garlic into thin sheets vertically (not minced). Over medium heat, add the garlic to the oil and cook until they barely begin to brown (this will really only take about 30 seconds because the pieces are so thin). Sprinkle a small of ginger of the shrimp until there is a barely visible coat over them. Add the shrimp to the oil and cook until pink. Once the pasta is tender, add it to the pan with a fair amount of parsley. Stir the mixture until the pasta is thoroughly coated. Turn the heat to the lowest possible setting and add the slices of butter to the butter for a little richer flavor. Mix again and serve. Season with salt and pepper to your liking.
