The episode opens with Jimmy Kimmel walking into Chris’s house and waking him up. He tells Chris that he will be highjacking this week’s episode. Jimmy delivers the date card to Kaitlyn.
Kaitlyn and Chris go on their one-on-one date to an undisclosed location. They end up arriving at Costco, the location of the first part of their date. Kimmel has prepared a grocery list for a dinner that they will prepare together. They have a fun time at Costco and end up kissing before they go back to Chris’s house to cook. Kimmel is an awkward third wheel, enjoying the hot tub with them and everything. At the end of the date, Kaitlyn and Chris kiss and he gives her a rose.
The next day, it is announced that the girls on the group date (Britt, Jillian, Becca, Tracy, Mackenzie, Kelsie, Amber, Ashley S. and Carly) will be participating in a farm relay race. The girls will have to race through an obstacle course and husk 15 ears of corn, gather eggs out of a coop and fry them, milk a goat, drink the goat’s milk, shovel manure and wrestle a greased pig.
The winner, Carly, gets to recreate the American Gothic photo with Chris.
At the end of the date, Carly decides to steal him and take him off to the side and kiss him. Chris says he’s glad she was finally being forward.
Amber asks him to dance with her, despite the fact that there’s no music. They end up kissing
Mackenzie is upset that Chris is kissing everyone except her, so she awkwardly confronts him about it. He is uncomfortable with the question but manages to brush it off.
Becca takes the time to get to know him and talk to him, but she isn’t ready to kiss him yet. Chris appreciates that.
Whitney is excited that she got a date card, because she hadn’t gotten one up until that point.
Back at the date, with Becca,Chris decides to give her a rose. Carly is upset because she won the challenge and felt she deserved the rose.
Whitney and Chris are on a date at a vineyard. The date is going really well and off in the distance, they notice that there’s a wedding happening. Whitney suggests they crash it. Chris is apprehensive at first but she manages to convince him. They go change clothes and buy a gift for the new couple. They get away with it and have a lovely time at the wedding. They kiss and it seems apparent that Chris is really into her. He gives her a rose.
Kimmel reveals that there will not be a cocktail party before the rose ceremony, but a pool party instead.
Last time Juelia and Chris talked, she revealed that her husband had committed suicide. At the pool party, she decides to talk to him about it more in depth. Chris is very comforting to her.
Britt gets Chris off to the side and they end up kissing. It catches a lot of the girls off guard.
Jade  goes up to him and asks to go into his house. Jillian isn’t okay with that. She wanders over to his house and waits for Chris in his hot tub, while Jade and Chris enjoy making out in his bed.
Mackenzie, Megan and Ashley I. decide to go off and find Chris at his house. Jillian complains that she hasn’t had enough time with him yet so they agree to give them a little more time. Then they decide to come back and swoop in on the hot tub party. Jillian isn’t backing down and giving the girls their own alone time. Ashley I. is really upset.
When Chris comes back to the house, Ashley I. swoops in and takes him aside. She tries to keep her cool but she loses it and starts crying in front of him, telling him how upset she was that Jillian didn’t give her alone time. They kiss.
The rose ceremony didn’t have much drama. Chris does not give Amber, Tracy, or Trina a rose – and they are officially eliminated from Season 19.
