Gov. Bobby Jindal added two new members to the LSU Board of Supervisors today, according to the LSU System website.
Scott Ballard, CEO of PJ’s Coffee and partner of WOW Cafe and Wingery Franchising and Ballard Hospitality, and Lee Mallett, owner of Mallett Buildings and owner and operator of the Academy of Training Skills, were added to the current 16-member board.
Ballard previously served on the Board of Regents. He was appointed in December 2011.
Regents Chairman Bob Levy said in a statement Ballard’s experience on the Board of Regents “will undoubtedly guide his work on the LSU Board of Supervisors and lead to even greater coordination amount our organizations as we areas the important issues facing higher education.”
Mallett served on the board of Louisiana’s Citizen Insurance Company from 2006 to 2009 and was appointed to the State License Board of Contractors in 2010, according to the Louisiana GOP website.
