Without the services of two starting guards, the Lady Tigers committed 27 turnovers in a 72-52 drubbing by visiting Arkansas (14-5, 3-4 Southeastern Conference).
With the absence of senior guards Destini Hughes, who is suffering a knee injury, and sophomore Jeanne Kenney, who is out with a concussion, LSU (13-6, 4-3 SEC) struggled all afternoon to find open looks and maintain possession.
The Lady Tigers also played without senior forward Taylor Turnbow, who was suspended for one game, and junior guard Bianca Lutley, who was suspended for the first half. Both
suspensions were credited to a violation of team rules.
The 27 turnovers were two short of the Lady Tigers’ season high of 29, which came against UCLA on Dec. 13, 2011.
