Former Chancellor Sean O’Keefe has accepted a job to head General Electric’s Aviation’s Washington D.C. operations.
O’Keefe will assume the post on June 2, according to a GE news release.
His predecessor, Tom Cooper, is retiring from the job after serving for 21 years.
O’Keefe resigned as chancellor Jan. 16 amid pressure from LSU System President John Lombardi and the LSU Board of Supervisors.
