LSU completed a three-game sweep of No. 18 Kentucky on Sunday afternoon with a come-from-behind, 9-8 victory.
With the win, the Tigers (32-16-1, 12-11-1) took the lead in the Southeastern Conference Western Division. Alabama and Ole Miss are tied for second in the western division with identical 12-12 conference records. LSU has three conference games remaining, a three-game home series with Mississippi State next weekend.
LSU is fifth overall in the conference. The top-eight teams in the SEC advance to the SEC tournament, which begins May 21 in Hoover, Ala.
