Georgia poured in more than 550 yards total offense against the Chippewas led by Knowshon Moreno’s 168 rushing yards and three touchdowns. Next up for the Bulldogs is a trip to South Carolina, where they have not lost since the 2000 season. No. 4 Florida (2-0, 0-0)This week: ByeAfter a week of back and forth trash talking, Florida silenced in-state rival Miami with a 26-3 win in the Swamp.Junior quarterback Tim Tebow combined for more than 300 yards of total offense and two touchdowns behind a Gators’ defense which held the ‘Canes to just 140 yards of offense.Florida will rest this week before visiting Tennessee next weekend. Gators coach Urban Meyer said it’s difficult to judge his team until conference play begins.”It’s time for the SEC,” he said. “When you’re preparing for non-conference games, then flip on the conference film, you know you’re back in the best conference in the world.”Kentucky (2-0, 0-0)This week: Middle TennesseeThe Wildcats are yet to allow a touchdown through two games.Kentucky has outscored its opponents a combined 65-5 on the season. But that will be challenged Saturday against Middle Tennessee, which recorded a 24-14 win against Maryland last week.Tennessee (0-1, 0-0)This week: UABFor the second straight season, the Volunteers dropped their season opener to a Pac-10 team, losing 27-24 to UCLA on Sept 1. After a week away from action, Tennessee hopes to regain the form that won them the SEC Eastern Division Championship last season against UAB. South Carolina (1-1, 0-1)This week: GeorgiaThe Gamecocks dropped out of the top 25 after a road loss to Vanderbilt. Dating back to last season, South Carolina has lost six of its past seven games.Quarterbacks Tommy Beecher and Chris Smelley are both expected to see time under center again this week. Neither has been able to secure the starting job through two games, and the duo has thrown a combined six interceptions. Three of the previous four meetings between the two teams have been decided by less than five points, including last season’s 16-12 Gamecocks’ win in Athens.Gamecocks coach Steve Spurrier said he expects that trend to continue this weekend.”We believe this will be another close one,” he said. “Hopefully we can make a play or two to have something good happen for us like we did last year. Western Division:No. 9 Auburn (2-0, 0-0)This week: at Mississippi StateChris Todd won Auburn’s starting quarterback job last Saturday, going 21-for-31 for 248 yards in the Tigers’ 27-13 win against Southern Miss.The Tigers will take on Mississippi State this weekend and hope to avenge their 19-14 loss to the Bulldogs last season.Arkansas (2-0, 0-0)This week: at TexasThe Bobby Petrino regime at Arkansas remained unbeaten with a second-straight comeback win against UL-Monroe last Saturday.The Razorbacks trailed 24-6 in the third quarter but outscored the Warhawks, 22-3, in the final 20 minutes of the game.Next up is No. 8 Texas which leads the all-time series with the Razorbacks, 55-21.No. 11 Alabama (2-0, 0-0)This week: Western KentuckyThe Crimson Tide remained unbeaten with a 20-6 win against Tulane despite being outgained, 318-172.One bright spot for Alabama was its special teams unit, which scored two of the team’s three touchdowns in the game. Alabama coach Nick Saban said the Crimson Tide was overconfident against the Green Wave after dismantling Clemson in the season opener.”There are no breathers in college football,” he said. “You need to respect the opponents . . . You have to focus on what is happening now and what is happening in the future and be ready to go play.” Mississippi (1-1, 0-0)This week: SamfordThe Rebels nearly pulled off one of the biggest upsets of last week before losing, 30-28, to No. 20 Wake Forest. Jevan Snead torched the Demon Deacon secondary, going 20-for-31 with four touchdowns. Ole Miss will try to rebound this weekend against Samford.Mississippi State (1-1, 0-0)This week: AuburnThe Bulldogs rebounded from an opening week loss to Louisiana Tech with a 34-10 win against Southeastern Louisiana last Saturday.
