JACKSON, Miss. (AP) — The future of Deuce McAllister Nissan of Jackson is in limbo pending talks between the owner and manufacturer.Nissan spokesman Fred Standish on Wednesday said the dealership was temporarily closed.
McAllister would not discuss the status of the dealership, but said his representatives were meeting with Nissan officials to discuss the future of the dealership.
He said that could mean him maintaining ownership, selling the dealership to another party or shuttering the dealership.
McAllister is a former Ole Miss football star who played eight seasons for the New Orleans Saints but was released from the team on Feb. 17.
Deuce McAllister Nissan of Jackson filed Chapter 11 bankruptcy in March to reorganize the company.
