LSU junior kicker Josh Jasper has been named Southeastern Conference Special Teams Player of the Week, the LSU Athletic Department announced Monday in a news release.
Jasper made all four field goals he attempted in LSU’s 33-30 overtime victory against Arkansas on Saturday. The four field goals tied a school single-game record.
The Memphis, Tenn., native hit a 41-yarder with four seconds left in regulation to send the game to overtime. His 36-yard field goal on LSU’s possession in the extra period became the eventual game-winner.
The player of the week honor is the first of Jasper’s career.
LSU has conlcuded the regular season and is waiting to hear its postseason fate.
