Home health provider Amedisys Inc. said Tuesday it hired an executive search firm to help find replacements for its president and chief operating officer and its chief information officer, who resigned last week.Amedisys said it engaged Russell Reynolds Associates to help find replacements for Larry Graham and Alice Schwartz. The company said they left Thursday to pursue other interests, and the unexpected changes sent Amedisys shares tumbling about 22 percent.The company said it will conduct a nationwide search and will consider its own employees as well as outside candidates.The company also said it hired Dr. Michael Fleming as chief medical officer, a new post. Fleming is a former president of the American Academy of Family Physicians.
