Former LSU linebacker Michael Brooks was one of 12 players named to the 2009 SEC Football Legends Class the LSU Athletic Department announced on Tuesday.
One player from each school in the conference has a player inducted each season with qualifications being on the field performance and classroom performance.
Brooks was a linebacker for the Tigers from 1983-86, earning first-team All-American honors in 1985.
Brooks’ induction puts him in the company of former Tigers like Billy Cannon, Bert Jones and Tommy Hodson, who have been given this honor since its inception in 1994.
