After falling to Georgia last weekend, despite posting a then-season high score of 195.950, the Tigers defeated Kentucky (1-2, 0-2) on Friday night, 196.575-195.225.Senior Ashleigh Clare-Kearney posted a season-high all-around score of 39.600 to win the overall title, the 18th of her career. Junior Susan Jackson came in second overall with a 39.375.The Tigers (6-1, 1-1) started Friday night on a high note, posting a season-high 49.3 team score on the uneven bars, including the top three in the event. Clare-Kearney won the event title with a 9.925, and juniors Summer Hubbard and Jackson tied for second with scores of 9.875.Senior Lauren Klein – who had been sidelined due to an ankle injury – saw her first action since the NCAA Super Six on April 25, when she posted a 9.625 on the floor. She put up a 9.775 on the bars.After tying for the event title in the vault with a 9.900, Clare-Kearney posted another 9.900 on the floor, a season-high, to tie Jackson and Kentucky senior Heather Hite for the floor title.The Tigers finished off the night with a season-high 49.025 on the beam.Hubbard posted a season-high 9.900 to win the event, and Clare-Kearney came in second with a 9.875.The Tigers will hit the road again next weekend to face Auburn on Friday night.
