Six representatives of LSU Student Government flew to Washington D.C. earlier this week to take part in the inauguration ceremony of President-elect Barack Obama.Along with about 20 other members of the Louisiana Council of Student Body Presidents, they arrived Monday morning to meet with Louisiana congressional leaders and lobby for federal aid for Louisiana students.With inaugural tickets provided by Louisiana representative Bill Cassidy, the SG members will witness history this afternoon as the first African-american president is sworn into office.——Contact Adam Duvernay at [email protected]
