The LSU football team moved up to No. 5 in the latest BCS rankings following the win against Alabama. The team improved from its previous rank of No. 10.
The ranking puts LSU (8-1, 5-1 SEC) as the highest ranked one loss team.
Alabama fell out of the top 10 following the loss to LSU, and now holds the No. 12 spot.
Oregon and Auburn remained at No. 1 and No. 2, respectively, followed by TCU at No. 3 and Boise State at No. 4.
The top 10 is finished out by No. 6 Stanford, No. 7 Wisconsin, No. 8 Nebraska and Ohio State and Oklahoma State at No. 9 and 10, respectively.
