No. 8 LSU Softball beat No. 10 Auburn 3-2 to take the series in their SEC home opening weekend.
The first four innings were scoreless from both teams until junior Becca Schulte hit a double and scored the Tiger’s first run.
Auburn scored two runs with a triple in the top of the seventh inning to tie the game up 2-2 until sophomore Amanda Doyle scored the game-winning run.
One game remains in the series on Sunday at 4 p.m. at Tiger Park then the Tigers will take on the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers on March 13.
