Christian artist and two-time Grammy-nominee, Lauren Daigle, visited her alma mater for one of the biggest games of the year: the LSU vs. Alabama matchup.
She tweeted a picture of herself tailgating on Monday saying, “There is nothing like being home for an LSU game. It’s truly one of my favorite pastimes that I make sure stays with me always.”
Daigle studied child and family studies at LSU before her career as a musician took off. She says she never had plans to become a Christian singer and songwriter.
“When I was in high school I was like, ‘Whatever it takes to sing I’m all about it but not a Christian singer,'” Daigle says.
Although, she says God had other plans for her in mind.
“The first door that opened was Christian music and I was like, ‘Alright, God. If this is what you’re telling me to do, I’ll try it out,’ and it ended up being one of the most beautiful rides I’ve ever been on.”
Daigle’s mission is to spread God’s love and be a role model for young Christians.
”Every single day I’m like, ‘Okay, what is the best representation of Christ in this or who would Christ be here?'”
Daigle released her new album, Look Up Child, on September 7. She begins touring to promote the album on November 29.
