The NCAA Outdoor Championships in Eugene, Or. is the most coveted and elite competition in collegiate track and field. LSU has fourteen athletes attending, a massive number compared to other schools. 
What’s their secret? Close relationships that began in middle school and continued throughout their LSU careers.
“We make each other better,” senior sprinter Aleia Hobbs said.
Hobbs and her other Louisiana-native relay-mates, Rachel Misher and Mikiah Brisco, constantly push one another to try harder, run faster, and be better. Because that’s what friends do. 
Head track and field coach Dennis Shaver said, “They do a great job coaching one another in practice which I think is something that you’re going to see in championship teams they’re really trying to help one another get better, even someone who is lined up against them in the same event.”
The LSU Track team begin their pursuit for a national championship on Monday. LSU men and women will appear in both individual events and relays.
