The LSU volleyball team had to fight its way through a four-game road trip only to return home to face No. 18 Florida.
The last time LSU (17-8, 10-5 Southeastern Conference) faced Florida (19-5, 12-3 SEC) on Oct. 9, the Gators swept the match (3-0, 25-16, 25-23, 25-8).
The Tigers were held to a season-low .027 hitting percentage, as three players recorded negative clips. LSU also recorded 23 hitting errors, compared to Florida’s seven.
“I think we’re focused more on our side of the net this time instead of who we’re playing,” said junior defensive specialist Meghan Mannari. “We made it too big of a match in our own heads and we talked it up too much. I think if we focus on the little things and do what we know how to do, go out there and have fun, it will be a good
