NEW ORLEANS (AP) — From Sept. 1 through Nov. 3, New Orleans police confiscated 347 illegal guns.
The department said Wednesday that the guns were seized by officers on foot patrol, at traffic stops and during drug busts. In all, officers retrieved 296 handguns, 33 rifles and 18 shotguns.
Police say the guns have a street value ranging from $400 to $1,500 for a Kimber handgun.
