NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Thirteen men have been indicted on federal drug charges for their roles in an alleged plot to distribute heroin in the New Orleans and Houston areas.
U.S. Attorney Jim Letten in New Orleans said 10 of the suspects charged in a 27-count indictment were arrested Tuesday, while the other three remained at large.
Letten says federal, state and local authorities seized more than one kilogram of heroin during an undercover probe that included wiretaps of the
suspects’ telephones.
