Partial TOPS payments will resume next Thursday after temporarily stopping payments.
Louisiana Office of Student Financial Assistance  executive director Sujuan Boutte says 80 percent of students’ awards will be reinstated next week.  The raining 20 percent will be absorbed by individual campuses.
Boutte says TOPS’s future will depend on results of the upcoming legislative sessions, which begin Sunday.  Thusday, the State Office of Student Financial Assistance told universities TOPS would suspend payments immediately.
