Man arrested for threatening former girlfriend
LSU police officers arrested Christopher Cordasco, of Baton Rouge, for aggravated assault on Tuesday outside East Campus Apartments.
Maj. Lawrence Rabalais, LSUPD spokesman, said Cordasco had argued early Tuesday evening with a former girlfriend who lived in ECA and told her that he had a $1,000 hit out on her life.
Rabalais said Cordasco also told his ex-girlfriend that he “had a gun for her ass.”
LSUPD arrested Cordasco at approximately 8:50 p.m. when he arrived at her apartment and began yelling through the door.
Officers found a firearm near Cordasco that witnesses identified as the gun he had been carrying when he arrived at the apartment.
Police brought Cordasco to East Baton Rouge Parish Prison where he was booked for one charge of aggravated assault and one charge of possession of a firearm in a firearm-free zone.
English graduate assistant arrested for masturbating
LSUPD arrested an English department graduate assistant on Tuesday for masturbating in his office.
Marian Siedloczek, of Baton Rouge, was seen masturbating in his office in Allen Hall by three students who were walking outside the building after leaving Middleton Library at about 9:15 p.m.
Rabalais said the witnesses had seen Siedloczek masturbating on two previous occasions and called police after this past time.
When officers arrived at Allen Hall, one officer knocked on Siedloczek’s door while another positioned himself outside Siedloczek’s window.
Officers witnessed Siedloczek zipping his pants and minimizing pornographic videos on his computer when the officer entered his office.
Siedloczek was booked into East Baton Rouge Parish Prison for one charge of obscenity.
Robbery suspects still missing
LSUPD is asking for information about a robbery that occurred Wednesday at about 8:50 p.m.
Rabalais said two males grabbed a University student who was walking from the Life Sciences Building toward Chopin Hall and demanded that the student give them his wallet and cellphone.
The student was talking to his girlfriend on his cell phone, and the girlfriend called LSUPD, which arrived shortly after.
A witness told police officers two men fled the scene and were joined by another man before taking off in a silver-colored car.
Rabalais said any information about the robbery should be reported to LSUPD at 578-3231.
