Students voted to elect 28 new student representatives Wednesday in the Student Government elections.
About 1,700 students voted on University Court justices, representatives for the REC Sports Management Council and student senators from their respective colleges.
Amanda Callais, SG elections commissioner, said elections ran smoothly and the election board did not experience any major problems with voting or campaigning.
Candidates from School of Music and Dramatic Arts and the graduate school ran unopposed.
About 900 students voted to approve an amendment to the SG Constitution.
Callais said the approved amendment requires the Senate to approve the appointment of each election board member. This makes the election board more accountable to the Senate.
Candidates for University Court Justice, Engineering senator and UCFY senator did not receive enough of the vote to win, but will compete in the runoff elections Wednesday, Nov. 5.
