Louisiana state Governor, Jeff Landry held a press conference on Monday Jan 20 to address Louisiana residents, and provide tips for the storm.
Landry spoke to residents about storm preparation advising residents to keep water in their homes, as well as have food on hand.
The Governor also brought out an experiment on climate, as well as the secretary of the department of transportation to provide information on what to expect regarding road closures.
While reports say the storm is the worst the state has seen since the 60’s, Landry is hopeful the state will persevere.
“… I have a lot of confidence in the people of this state to be very resilient. I am extremely confident that if they heed the cautions we are putting in place and if you stay off the roads and stay warm…you are going to be fine hopefully by Friday, maybe even thursday.” Said Gov. landry
