LSU women’s basketball ended its second consecutive season in the Elite Eight. With the addition of portal players, the Tigers look to advance past the final eight teams.
LSU has benefited tremendously from portal additions in the past. Some names include Angel Reese, Aneesah Morrow and Hailey Van Lith.
Tigers’ coach Kim Mulkey is one of the most notable names in the sport and has proven to attract notable transfers. LSU’s notoriety as a program also helps bring portal talent to the PMAC.
The Tigers finished the season 31-6 with an average of 84.8 points per game, which ranks 4th in the country. They secured two dominant 100-point games in the tournament’s first two rounds and defeated the No. 2 seed NC State before dropping a physical match versus No. 1 seed UCLA to end the season.
