Sophomore Center for LSU Women’s Basketball, Aalyah Del Rosario, has officially announced she is entering into the portal after spending two seasons with the Tigers. Along with Del Rosario’s departure, Forward Aneesah Morrow has declared for the 2025 WNBA draft.
Del Rosario made some accomplishments while with the Tigers like being awarded 2024 SEC All-Freshman Team. During her freshman season with LSU she played an increased role as the first player off the bench for the Tigers after Sa’Myah Smith suffered a season-ending knee injury.
Del Rosario also averaged 4.7 points and 3.5 rebounds per game. She scored in double figures in four games, including a 27 point performance against McNeese where she also grabbed 10 rebounds to secure her lone double-double of the season. Del Rosario was one of two players on the roster to appear in all 37 of LSU’s games throughout the year.
Prior to LSU Del Rosario was a five-star recruit who was the top post player in her class and ranked as high as the No. 4 player by Just Women’s Sports.
During the 2024-2025 season, Del Rosario made a total of 56 points, a total of 16 free throws with 33 free throw attempts and made 25 offensive rebounds and 32 defensive rebounds for a total of 57 rebounds.
Morrow came to LSU for her Junior year, but made some accomplishments while she played for DePaul. Morrow made 2024 All-America Honorable Mention, 2024 First Team All-SEC, 2023-2024 one-time SEC Player of the Week, 2023-2024 one-time National Player of the Week, 2024 Cheryl Miller Award Finalist.
During Morrow’s junior year with the Tigers she played for a total of 1,210 minutes and scored a total of 608 points, while playing in all 37 games and starting in 34. She also made a total of 241 field goals with 519 attempts. She made 13 3-pointers with 60 attempts.
Morrow went on to play for LSU during her senior year where she made 674 points, with 264 field goals made and 539 field goal attempts. Morrow made 11 3-pointers with 38 attempts. She made 135 free throws and attempted 184; she also made a statement in rebounds with 185 offensive rebounds and 300 defensive rebounds for a total of 485 rebounds.
