After a devastating 10-4 loss against Little Rock in game six of the Baton Rouge Regional, freshman pitcher Cooper Williams spoke to the media.
Out of the five pitchers that threw for the Tigers, Williams had the best performance. He finished the night with 4 strike outs, 3 allowed runs and a 1.59 ERA.
“Less than 12 months ago this is everything I dreamed of being a part of this program,” pitcher Cooper Williams said.
Williams’ efforts were not enough to secure a tiger win, but he believes whoever is on the mound Monday will get the job done.
“I have ultimate confidence in everybody we have left,’ Williams said, “I think we have a great group of strike throws yet to come tomorrow.”
Despite the Tigers being down for the majority of the game, Williams said his teammates were admitted to executing their gameplan.
“I don’t think there was ever a wave of confidence in anybody,” he said.
Next up, the Tigers will face the Trojans again Monday at 8 P.M.
