LSU Football Fall Camp continues…
The team worked on position placement for field goals and extra points. Fifth year senior kicker Damian Ramos looked a little shaky. He missed a few kicks during the drills.
Garrett Nussmeier had a great deep pass to senior receiver Zavion Thomas. Backup quarterbacks Micheal Van Buren and Collin Hurley looked more comfortable on the field in comparison to day one.
Defense ran a variety of drills and looked dominant at practice on Wednesday. LSU secured some defenders from the portal in the offseason that have looked strong in practice.
Cornerback Ja’Keem Jackson is a sophomore transfer from Florida. He suffered a season ending injury in 2024, but he seems eager to earn his spot on the field. He is joined by his teammate Jack Pyburn, who is a senior edge.
Another new addition is senior edge Patrick Payton who transferred from Florida State University. He has looked explosive and dominant during the past two practice days.
The Fighting Tigers will take Friday off, then will begin grinding again on Saturday morning.
