Final: 4 LSU softball players will play in the 2026 AUSL Regular season. Sahvanna Jaquish, Ciara Briggs and Danieca Coffey will remain at their original teams. Carley Hoover and Ali Newland will join the Cascade for its first season, and Aliyah Andrews will join her former teammate Jaquish on the Talons roster.

The next big step for these players will be finding out where their team’s homesites will be. The only team with an announced homesite is the Oklahoma City Spark.

Before the 2026 season, there will be another round of Golden Tickets passed out to current college seniors looking to continue their careers after the 2026 WCWS.

With the 26th overall pick in the Allocation Draft, the Talons pick former Tiger outfielder Aliyah Andrews. Andrews is known for her speed and outstanding catches in center field.

Andrews brings slapping ability that has gone away from softball in recent years. As a Tiger, she is second in career stolen bases.

With the 25th overall pick, the Cascade picks Ali Newland for her versatility. Known for her clutch abilities at LSU, she looks to bring the speed and some power that can play anywhere on the field.

End of Expansion Draft:

Carley Hoover is drafted from the Blaze to the Cascade; Ciara Briggs and Sahvannah Jaquish have been protected.

Danieca Coffey will reamain with the Volts.

Sahvanna Jaquish and Ciara Briggs are protected from the Talons and Volts, respectively.

“[Jaquish] is kinda versatile that way, she can play multiple positions, but also look at the coaching perspective,” Danielle Lawrie said. “Howard Dobson knows her, and offensive production might be down, but it’s a hard game.”

Jaquish is the only four-time NCFA All-American in LSU softball history.

Briggs is the first back-to-back collegiate softball Rawlings Gold Glove Winner.

Round 2, Pick 3: Carley Hoover

With the third pick of the 2026 AUSL Draft, the Cascade picks former Tiger pitcher Carley Hoover. “You see on all of her social media, she’s a worker,” former Washington softball player Danielle Lawrie said. “She can throw 72 down, straight cheddar… Big pick with her and Sam Landry in the first round.”

Hoover is known for her power in the circle and was the 2022 Japan Diamond Softball Player of the Year. While at LSU, she was a two-time NCFA All-American.
