Sunday afternoon, the Lady Tigers took on the Missouri Tigers at home in the PMAC. After the game, Head Coach Kim Mulkey spoke to the media and expressed her feelings about the Tigers and how they have been playing in recent games.
“This is the SEC, this league is brutal, this team never gets too high, it never gets too low, they just keep getting better,” Mulkey stated.
LSU came into the game with a strong offense that continued throughout the entire match. As Missouri kept trying to have a strong defense, it simply was not enough to suffice against LSU once they became unstoppable.
The Lady Tigers currently have a 24-4 overall record and a 10-4 SEC record. Although they fell short against #3 South Carolina, #7 LSU is continuing to try to prove their confidence and strength in big SEC games.
“If you think about the games we’ve lost, how can you not feel good about your season,” Mulkey mentioned. The final score on Sunday was 108-55, where the LSU Tigers showed how dominating they can be offensively.
LSU is now coming off two big wins in SEC play and hopes to continue this streak as they take on two more SEC games before their SEC tournament in March.
Stay tuned for the Tigers’ next battle as they take on Tennessee back at the PMAC this Thursday at 5:00 PM CT.
