For Sale: Victoria Beckham’s Wedding Tiara
Photo
In case you didn’t know, there was a royal wedding that took place in 1999. Okay, not actual royalty, but pop culture royalty.
Spice Girls’ Posh Spice and soccer star David Beckham tied the knot in Ireland that year with a ceremony and reception that reportedly cost upwards of $900,000.
Almost 15 years later, the golden tiara that Victoria wore will be on sale for over $30,000.
The tiara, which found a nice home in recent years at London’s Victoria and Albert Museum and Antwerp’s Diamond Museum, will be auctioned off on December 5 at London’s Bonhams auction house.

’50 Shades’ Film Release Date Pushed Back
It looks like the ’50 Shades of Grey’ film will be coming out later than what was originally announced, disappointing millions of lonely women around the world.
This news isn’t surprising after the casting shake-up for the title character, Christian Grey. ‘Sons of Anarchy’ star, Charlie Hunnam was originally cast for the role, but dropped out unexpectedly only three weeks before production was set to start.
In a clutch casting move, Jamie Dornan was chosen to play opposite of Dakota Johnson, the Anastatia Steele to his Grey.
The film was originally going to be released on August 1, 2014, but is now set for February 13, 2015.
I guess those women officially have Valentine’s Day plans for next year! Win-win.
Holy Cuteness, BatKid!
If you need some kind of reminder that there’s even a shred of goodness left in the world, meet BatKid.
He may be known publicly as BatKid, but he’s doubles as a kindergartener named Miles. Miles is an amazingly adorable five-year-old boy from San Francisco who was diagnosed with Leukemia when he was just 18 months old.
Thankfully, he’s in remission now and since he’s healthy, he can properly fulfill his duties as BatKid.
As part of a wish granted by the Make-A-Wish foundation, San Fransico was transformed into Gotham City today, full of missions for BatKid. From stopping a bank robbery by The Riddler to saving a damsel in distress, nothing was going to stand in BatKid’s way. Especially not stupid Leukemia.
Below was his schedule for the day:
■ 10 a.m. — Miles leaves the Grand Hyatt Hotel on Union Square in the Batmobile after answering the chief of police’s call for help. Exits building through loading dock area located between Williams-Sonoma and the former Levi’s store on Post Street between Powell and Stockton.
■ 10:15 to 10:35 a.m. — Damsel in distress is rescued from the Hyde Street cable car line on the 1900 block of Hyde, between Green and Union streets.
■ 11:15 to 11:30 a.m. — Batman and Batkid apprehend the Riddler, who is in the middle of robbing a vault. The Riddler is carted off in a San Francisco Police Department paddy wagon.
■ 12:35 to 12:50 p.m. — While Batkid is enjoying lunch, a flashmob in Union Square alerts him that Lou Seal has been kidnapped by the Penguin, who drives off toward AT&T park in an open car.
■ 1:10 to about 1:45 p.m. — Batman and Batkid chase the Penguin around the promenade level of AT&T park, going through the cable car, down the Coke bottle slide, and ending up near the miniature ball park. Lou Seal is rescued by Batman and Batkid. The two go down to the field to watch a message on the Jumbotron from the chief of police, inviting them to the San Francisco City Hall where Mayor Ed Lee is waiting to give them the key to the city.
■ Between 2 and 2:30 p.m. — Mayor Ed Lee’s presentation takes place between 2 and 2:30 p.m. A press conference with Miles, his parents and the police chief follows at Civic Center Plaza.
