UPDATE: LSU Police Captain Corey Lalonde says that the suspicious package reported near WCA building 8 was a vibrating construction tool left there by workers from the work site on Aster St. Police were able to handle the matter quickly and the area is now cleared.
LSU Police Department officers are on the scene of a suspicious package reported near West Campus Apartments building 8.
Students are advised to avoid the area. 
This comes days after a similar event in which two suspicious packages, one labeled “bomb,” were spotted outside of Thomas Boyd Hall. 
The Baton Rouge Police Department performed a controlled detonation on the packages Monday and discovered the content of the packages was coffee. 
LSUPD arrested two teenagers in connection with the suspicious package on Thursday.
