Number 1 overall receiver, and 4-star John Curtis WR, Malachi Dupre committed to play his college football at LSU this morning.
The highly sought wide receiver adds to an already impressive recruiting class for LSU so far this season. The Tigers are now currently ranked second overall in the recruiting rankings behind Alabama.
Dupre was considering LSU, UCLA, and Florida State as his Top-3 choices. When it came down to it Dupre chose to stay home in Louisiana and play for the Tigers.
“It was best to stay here,” Dupre said. “It’s time to get ready for Wisconsin and the first game.”
After landing Number 1 overall prospect Leonard Fournette at the Under Armor All-American Game, Dupre immediately became the next target coveted by LSU.
With an impressive 2014 class consisting of names like Leonard Fournette, Brandon Harris, Malachi Dupre, Jamal Adams, and Ed Paris, the Tigers have a lot to look forward to heading into Spring practice as they prepare for their opening game vs. Wisconsin in August.
