LSU sophomore linebacker Kendell Beckwith was named Southeastern Conference Defensive Player of the Week following his performance in the Tigers’ upset win against Ole Miss.
Beckwith finished the game with a career high 10 tackles, adding one tackle for loss, a pass breakup and a quarterback hurry.
The Tigers were able to hold Ole Miss to a season low in points, yards and passing yards.
Fournette teamed with seniors Terrence Magee and Kenny Hilliard to give the Tigers a dominant rushing attack.
The freshman running back rushed for 113 yards, while adding two catches for 41 yards. The performance gave Fournette his third 100-yard rushing game of the season.
LSU tallied 264 rushing yards against an Ole Miss defense that entered the game allowing only 97 yards per game.
