Mississippi State used two huge plays to increase their lead over LSU to 31-10 heading into the fourth quarter in Tiger Stadium.
The LSU defense forced a fumble and scored on the first play of the third quarter to bring the score to 17-10. LSU linebacker Kwon Alexander knocked the football out of Mississippi State quarterback Dak Prescott’s arms at the 25 yard line, and LSU defensive end Danielle Hunter ran in the loose ball for a touchdown.
The Bulldogs responded after their miscue with 54-yard touchdown run by Dak Prescott. Later in the quarter, Prescott connected with Jameon Lewis for a 74-yard touchdown pass to put the Bulldogs up 31-10.
