The Tigers landed the No. 1 overall recruit in the Class of 2025 in five-star quarterback, Bryce Underwood.
Underwood is a 6-foot-4, 205-pound quarterback from Belleville High School in Belleville, Michigan. He chose LSU over Michigan and Alabama, among others.
LSU has now landed commitments from the No. 1 quarterback, No. 1 running back, Harlem Berry, and No. 1 wide receiver, Dakorien Moore, according to 247sports, for its Class of 2025.
Many could say Underwood is similar to Jayden Daniels without the time to adjust throwing the deep ball. He has the accuracy to make any throw on the field plus the ability to extend plays with his legs.
Assuming either Garrett Nussmeier or A.J. Swann are the starting quarterback for this coming season, Underwood has the ability to come in and start as a true freshman the season after, or at least get significant playing time.
Having Underwood controlling the offense would have the schemes return to what it looked like with Daniels at the helm. With options like Moore around him, the offense could return to the glory it saw this season.
But regardless, the Tigers have made some of the biggest early moves in the Class of 2025 out of any program in the country.
