After conducting a preliminary investigation, The Office of the Dean of Students has banned the Acacia chapter from campus. A release from the office stated the fraternity was charged with committing the following offenses:
• Forced alcohol consumption
• Personal servitude
• Acts of physical violence and forced activities
• Road trip to Auburn University where numerous acts of theft occurred, including several high value items from a tailgate and a fraternity composite from an Auburn University fraternity
• Restriction of meals during the week of Initiation
• Expectation to reside at the fraternity house and participate in activities during the week preceding Initiation that significantly interfere with academic and psychological well-being
• Situation created where new members stood in a very hot steam environment for a long duration of time and resulted in undo physical stress
• Instances of hazing as outlined in Policy Statement 108
The fraternity will be banned from campus for four years.
