Officers arrested a 19-year-old UL-Lafayette student for allegedly raping a University student in her dorm room Saturday, according to LSUPD. 
LSUPD Spokesman Capt. Cory Lalonde said officers responded to the victim at Woman’s Hospital and she said Victor Daniel Silva raped her. 
The victim and Silva knew each other and he was in her room, but despite her resistance he persisted, Lalonde said. 
When tracking Silva down, LSUPD officers got the ULL Police Department to make the initial arrest Wednesday, Lalonde said. Silva booked into East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on April 1 for forcible rape, booking records show.
