Update: The lights are back on as of 9:56 p.m.
The lights at the URec went out at 9:00 p.m. tonight forcing students off the exercise machines and onto the track until the issue is resolved.
Claire David, student worker said that she thinks the top breaker that controls the light broke, but they aren’t sure what caused it to break.
Tina Grommon, URec Supervisor, said that they are still working to resolve the problem, but that the URec will remain partially open until 12:00 a.m.
Maintenance and an electrician is currently checking out the issue and hopes to get the lights on in the next 30 minutes.
