Football, baseball and basketball are the kings of LSU sports. But there are other sports that deserve just as much recognition.
“Ultimate Frisbee is a disc sport,” said Brady Connelly, a team captain of the LSU Women’s Ultimate team. Brady described the sport as a mixture of football and soccer.
Ultimate Frisbee was created in the ’60s, and there are 5 million players in the U.S. today.
The LSU team plays other colleges and travels just like a football or basketball team would.
There are no tryouts, and anyone is welcome to join the team.
There season begins next semester.
