With the devastation in South Carolina, the LSU community welcomed the Gamecocks with open arms.
“It reminds me of what we went through in 2005 when Katrina and Rita hit within 10 days,” Head Coach Les Miles said.
But that didn’t stop the Tigers from winning the away game against South Carolina in Death Valley.
LSU defeated USC 45-24 while setting a school record in rushing yards.
Leonard Fournette had over 100 rushing yards as well as Derrius Guise rushing for a team total 396 yards.
Brandon Harris threw for a career high of 228 yards on 18 completions and 29 attempts.
With the win, LSU is 5-0 on the year and will pay Florida at home Saturday at 6 pm.
